There's a Library in LAOS

Hi everyone!

We have some very exciting news to share! We heard from Room to Read this week and they provided us with a wonderful update on the Library that we have funded! We were so excited to read all about it and to see some pictures. Now, we get to share it with you - all of the people who helped, supported and gave generously to this amazing cause!

The Nakala Complete Primary School library is now up and running in the Songkhone district of the Savannakhet province of Laos.

The library is supporting 101 students from grades 1 through 5, as well as 6 teachers. It warmed our hearts to see pictures of the library, and especially the children reading!

A couple of years ago we had this dream of funding a library. It was a daunting and challenging task, but one we were committed to. To know now that we accomplished this goal is incredible. More importantly, to see the library in action is so rewarding! Ultimately, this journey has given us far more than we could have asked for.

Once we knew the location of the library, we couldn't wait to see where it was in relation to our "little sister", our sponsored child, Mai. Her village is also in south western Laos, in a neighbouring province. How convenient - could a possible trip to Laos be in our future?! We think so...

Thanks to everyone who donated, supported and believed in us, this library would not have been created if it weren't for all of you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you :)
